Last week I went to my best friends 21st birthday party at Tamarai. We had a blast on the club night Friday 'Casablanca'. The music was perfect for dancing all night long, loads of really good DJ remixes of mixture of commercial, house, RNB , some I've never heard before so I was quite suprised really. I would definitely recommend it to anyone as it wasn't just students but a nice mix and I think they do it every fridays and sundays there. It was loads of fun and they took photos all night which were on the website too. Simply loved the whole atmosphere !

Door man tried to rob us of £35 to get in, when I refused his extorsionate amount, he took £10 but told us there were loads of people in the club already. When we got in there, the only people were the dinner guests who were leaving. We bought drinks anyhow and waited and waited for the night to begin but it didn't. Music pretty rubbish, there was no atmosphere and I need not have done my hair and bought a new dress! As I way over dressed for the so called smart casual dress code. Ok they didn't wear trainers, but t-shirt and jeans and during the few hours of waiting hardly anyone else turned up. Will not go back. I also think the reviews from people who have had a great time and met celebs in there are fake probably written by the staff and their friends!!!

Pan-Asian for me certainly means Tamarai, the place has everything- Indian, Chinese, Thai...you name it you got it! Simply loved the food, the aromatic hot thai coconut soup is amazing! Chicken spring rolls and Indian rice cake are good too, i am a big fan of their cocktail list. A little expensive for my liking but nonetheless if one can afford good taste, then why not! I am coming back with family the next time, not to miss place!

Some amazing music, energy and vibes at the club that kept my friends and me going on till wee hours. The in-house DJ did some real rocking job with the music and wines were a sure wow. One of the best places to hang out at night.

We had a great experience at Tamarai. The food was absolutely amazing and our waitress was very kind and helpful. We stayed on for the club without paying any extra fee, which was very good, and as they turned into a night club we went to the bar to enjoy the night.

Fantastic food though a limited menu. The poor waiter clearly hadn't been given proper training and was waiting on far too many tables all in different parts of the restaurant - very badly run. The bouncers were OK, doing their job and following orders from the inept manager. We asked for the *discretionary* service charge to be removed from our bill so that we could determine our own cash tip for the waiter rather than an extortinate and undeserved tip for the rude and unhelpful manager. We actually wanted to stick around after dinner in the bar, for drinks and to enjoy the music (i.e. spend a lot more money there). They cleared away some of the tables (including ours) at 10 as the place opened for the 'club' and so we were at the bar when the bouncers came over and asked us to leave. We had no idea why, or what was going on and then we found out that we had been asked to leave for not paying the service charge even though we were perfectly within our rights not to do so! Absolutely shocking and we were man-handled out to the front. I then spoke 1-2-1 with the manager, when I say spoke, let's not be under the impression that he was listening, it was clear his attention was elsewhere when I said 'you're not even listening' and he carried on nodding and 'uh huh'ing. A real disappointment but we went and spent our money elsewhere and had a great time after leaving tamarai behind.

Tamarai Nightclub. Every Friday and Saturday, £20 entry, £15 on my guestlist. www.tamarai.co.uk Tamarai is an elegant and sophisticated bar that plays host to sumptuous pan-Asian cuisine and a stunning art gallery. With a wide selection of drinks to complement, Tamarai is an extremely enticing venue, and one that has built quite a reputation amongst Londoners.

Well I had my party here and it was AMAZING. There were hot girls everywhere (and not just cuz there was no air-con)> I pulled, and pulled well....and for a guy like me *sighs* that's a result, its been a while since I last has sex. Since my father left us, it's been hell and my self esteem really took a knock. I did go out with this girl before xmas but I kept getting upset just before sex and started crying. Anyway, this place is good.

I throughly enjoyed my night last night, I feel that Tamarai has a very welcoming cosy feel to it, very posh inside. Class of people are very nice. There were two negative points one being their was no air conditioning and it became very hot whist dancing felt like a sauna at times! and the other point being that the Dj's did not seem to have much of a selection of music and repeated a few songs. If the club got these few issues sorted i would without a doubt be coming back on a regular basis!

I had a fantastic night for my birthday on Good Friday, manager is nice and the door staff are ok... music was amazing, rnb and hip hop with some funky house.. hardly sat down.Drinks are very expensive tho, heavily overpriced, but ambience and decor was gorgeous. This place has a lot of potential just hope that when it catches on it doesn't become crap like the others turn out to be. I would recommend the restaurant also, the food was really delicious, small portions but delicious!!
