Rex
21 Rupert Street, London, W1D 6DG

Since landing the honour of hosting Justin Timberlake's party and then shortly after Britney's party this has become the place to be seen. Thus explaining why Emma Bunton, Rachel Stevens and Amanda Holden have all visited Rex recently. The bar is luxuriously decorated with a 1930s feel to it.

The Rex can best be described as eclectic, drawing heavily from 1930s style with art nouveau influences. Plush velvets and crystal chandeliers create a decadent atmosphere while exposed brickwork gives off a raw contemporary vibe.

The cinema screens old classics as well as advance previews of soon-to-be-released blockbuster movies. Film seasons are also planned.

Joined in friends celebrating there b-day nightout last Friday and its 1st time at Rex. Under my impression the venue were relatively tiny and get little cramped but totally enjoy the music (Fridays mix Rnb, Hip hop and old Scool). Drinks typically the same as any other west end clubs. The place definitely recommend if just wanted to chill out for the weekend. probably going back soon.

The best thing about Rex for me is that you can watch classic old films and new ones that haven’t even been released yet, and do so in a beautiful and modern cinema hall.

I went to Rex for a girl's night out, and the men didnt disappoint which is a good thing, however, the girls , that's a different story! They were terrible. My friend ended up with a group of psycho females on her case. Doormen, you need to refuse entry to the people who only come out to kill parties! Its a stylish crowd, not too young, just right. The music was great. I would go again, in fact, I am this weekend!

Another bar in London with delusions of adeuquacy. It seems now that a lick of paint and multiplying the drinks prices by 2 ( half a draft lager is over £3) makes a place classy. It doesn't. I was there on a Friday evening. When I arrived at the start of the evening the floor was sticky. Lack of cleanliness is unforgiveable. It's a fairly unremarkable bar save for the fact that it has a small cinema inside, which is actually quite nice. Friendly door staff too which is ia pleasant surprise. I was eventually refused service for using paper towels to wipe the disgustingly wet and sticky bar later in the evening, which job should be done by the bar staff. In this venue they suck and have a bad attitude. Music policy same old same old. Boring house and rnb. Variety might be the spice of life?

Had the best time at Rex! Staff and management are really friendly and so helpful. Drinks are reasonable for the West End, DJs are fab! Crowd is always mixed, the venue intimate, and all around just a great time! I will def. be going back.

For a night out, I thought this was such a disappointment, staff were grumpy and drinks were stupidly priced. Atmosphere needs a lift.
