WOW! Weird to find this page online as I used to DJ at Purple several Years ago on a thursday night!! The place back then was rocking and I found it a great place to play out before the weekend started. Back then and still now I DJ'd at INFERNOS's in Clapham, so many of you might have been there and know me!?! I DJ now at The Elk Bar down the road from Purple Every thursday 9pm-1am, so pop down!! [DJ Decks!]

An absolutley shocking venue, the bar staff are rude and the bouncers are are even worse than the usual sleeze that work on doors. Probably the worst club in Kensington and Chelsea, except Crazy Larries or Rumis-they're appalling. Purple is a waste of time and a waste of money. Also, two of my friends had battery acid thrown in their eyes and mouth last time we went. DO NOT GO TO PURPLE.

Don't go, my friends and I were there on a 22nd, then a group of obviously intoxicated men came in wanting trouble. My friend ended up getting bottled. So far it seems that the CCTV was inadequeate and the bouncers not paying attention. So the victim has been scarred and the perp gets away with it. Avoid the place if you want to have a good night where you don't end up in ER

I love this place, the management are exceptional! and the reason people wouldnt know who they are is because they dont parade around giving it all that! a far cry from what it once was. Fantastic would seriously recomend. It expects a specific clientel therefore prices are high to attract the right kind! - fair enough to me.

Rubbish.Meat market in the middle of a football ground with clientele that personify posh meets chav. Awful door staff, attemtping to convey the illusion of an" elite west end nightclub",when the reality is a badly decorated tastless meat market.Extortionate priced drinks for such a hellhole. Similar to places like strawberry moons and the loop, yet charges Panagea league prices. And finally,to top things off music= EARLY 90S TRANCE. worst night of my life.

surly security staff, eager to empty the club, dont expect to leave at 2- more like half 1. however quality of poeple (boys and girls) is high although if you're not into the public school scene i wouldn't bother going. Old people don't grace the club on a thursday. Young and trendy. Look out for the friendly mercedes cabs outside, they're happy to strike a bargain with young beautiful ladies. a classy night with a classy drive home. drinks quite expensive (but not on daddys gold card) a good night overall. strick(but friendly) door staff, dont forget i/d (passport or driving licensce)

Wot can i say? Good club, good music. If your out to find a good looking bloke, then i suggest you try elsewhere as you wont find many in this club ..... Overall 7/10. The bouncers on the door are ok but need to lighten up a little. If u cant take a bit of banter then i suggest you find another way to earn a living!

Went for the first time last Saturday and it was fantastic! I kind of invited myself as I went along with my brother who was attending for a friend's birthday night out. Got in without any trouble what so ever and no queue, which is always a good thing. Bought one drink each-average price for clubs these days (I've paid more) and found our way to the VIP area where the birthday boy was. Champagne flowed all night and we had a superb service from our waitress. Music was great and there was something for everyone. I stayed in the VIP area all night and danced all night! - there is quite a lot of space. Our group even ended the night dancing on the podium-awesome feeling! Left without hassle and went back to the hotel room, which me and my brother invited ourselves back to, birthday boy had prebooked a few rooms-good planning! Purple is a Great club...decor and music and staff! Best night I've had out in a long time! Will definitely return soon.

Don't get me wrong - I love Purple, the music's great, the crowd's ... alright (!), but it's usually a top night. BUT after going last night, I'm incredibly angry with the bouncers. I found them inconsiderate with no sense of rationale or common sense. Having to help a drunk friend off the premises, it did not help with these idiots screaming "come on, come on, or I'll call an ambulance & police" right into her face. Would love to speak to the manager about this, but he doesn't seem contactable. Anyone know his number?

Went Purple one Thursday after an awards night in stamford bridge...had to go somewhere afterwards so decided to go purple...liked it a lot...dj was a bit pony, cant mix etc. good choice of records though...suzanne on the door was very helpful ;o)...be back one day soon next time i fancy rubbin shoulders with the wannabe fulham/chelsea crew.

For any Scarface fan Purple is a must, you’ll understand why when you get in there. Great dance floor and the setting well what can I say just makes you feel like Tony Montana on payday. Great vibe with great music a little bit for everyone, despite the occasionally clang by the DJ’s mix, but by this time you should be enjoying yourself and wont notice it. Friendly environment with some great looking women, will defiantly go back.

Please Jordan get a life, purple is a funky club with good music obviosly you are not a big club person, cause you have no idea what you are talking about, it is very upper class, maybe you just don't fit in with the smart vibe darling!

Yeh got there after tanking up at a bar on fulham broadway as drinks kept high for the area to take advantage of the eton boys with daddy's credit card! The club at first looks like a cupboard but then opens up as you discover the wealth of "talent" that lurks below! Amazing drinks and music provided the soundtrack to a night that ended up complaining at closing which at 2am is on the earily side. Hand an amazing time afraid to go back in case it doesnt live it up

Purple is one of those places that i always end up at when incredibly drunk. Each time i leave very early on in the night and vow never to go back. If you go with a large group it's ok. But otherwise the mix of wannabe teenagers and sleezy unattractive men, dont sit well with me and the majority of my friends.

I agree it used to be for the underaged and "privalleged"... but it truly has re-invented itself. Visited the past thursday simply to get a few cheap drinks in and ended up staying as we couldn't get our party off the dance floor. Cracking night.

Why is this club on the list? Its thursday nights were famous as any under 18 chelsea kid could get in, now with strickt door policy no one bothers with it. The music isnt anything special, the club it self is anything special, the crowd isnt either. Not the place to be!
