Fred Moss and Marc Merran, together with Samy Sass of Monaco's Sass Café fame, have created the most significant and exquisite club venue in London - MO*VIDA. MO*VIDA is built amidst the vaults of the London Palladium Theatre, and will initially be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8pm till 3.30am for members or via invited guest-lists. Internationally acclaimed French designer, Samy Chams of Prospect Design, whose breath-taking interior design portfolio includes the VIP room in St Tropez and Baoli in Cannes, was commissioned to design MO*VIDA. With raw brick arches and original features meticulously restored, Chams has created a timeless and elegant international atmosphere, breaking away from the traditional approach of themed club venues.

in few words: over the top.

Had an amazing time, great club, great music, quite expensive but well worth it if you're looking to have a great night out. One criticism is there are a lot of gold-digger like girls, but guess they are merely finding their target market. Great place, will definitely go there again before I leave the country.

Ya know what people's. I actually cant wait to go to movida. A bartender friend of mine rate's it as one of the best club's he has ever been to so when I come out to the UK in 4 weeks I am heading directly to that bar and grabbing a drink, so for all the lame people that went in and now complain about their time inside why dont you just go back to your local pub and hang out with the nasty chick's with shitty drink's and bad service and leave the bad comments for your ugly partners. peace

A*** an incredibly good night. Obviously the type of place that there is no point bothering with if you can't or wont spend cash.
Managed to drop £6500 (apparently doesn't even raise an eye-lid in that place) but it was great fun!
From a womans aspect, Movida is good - don't expect to pay for more than a couple of drinks if you are female, we managed to pick up about 7 to our table in the space of 15 minutes entrance.
The men pay and the women enjoy. Everyone wins
Will definitely return, although after the recent opening of the much awaited Cristal it will be hard to tear myself away...

Went to Movida on last week although it was unplanned my friend and I had a good time this was not due to the club, music or atmospher, this was because I thought i might as well make the most of it as its not often I have time to go out. The music was disasterous and the crowd was full of rowdy and drunk people. A non English speaking girl spilt red wine all over my brand new white top which evidently is now ruined. I would not go back there in a hurry if at all.

I am going to specifically highlight the fact that i give my all respect to one security guy who virtually saved me from bad consiquences of dancing with wrong/drunken people. Thank You.
Music was great, loved it. Maybe a little too crowded but isn it we all actually go there for - to have fun n meet nice ppl?
Yes,many russians and Kazakh ppl ,as somebody mentioned before, but wht is this racism?doesn matter who they/we r,jst chill n accept.

the atmosphere is unreal but thats not neccasarily a good thing. crazy ambience but what is with the club being inhabited by russians that need to pay in cash (b/c it doesn't leave a trail). its fun, but obscenely crowded and i'll give a guess that only about 35% of the people in there actually buy drinks. the rest go drunk, are happy to get in, and simply dance the whole night.

Not worth the hassle, been there so many times and even though the people on the door see us there virtually every 2 weeks they still act like pricks even though they know we're on the list. Beautiful women fair enough but the vip room is the size of a dorm room! Expensive drinks as well but then again anywhere worth going to is gonna have pricey drinks. Music in main room is so sub standard when compared to the amazing music u hear in vip room

We were lucky enough to have a table the waiters were lovely and the security very friendly which makes a change! Obviously some snooty people there but on the whole a good looking happy bunch. Would definately recommend it but be careful of the little steps everywhere lots of people falling over!

Hey guys!
Together with my girlfriend I visited Movida on a Friday two weeks ago. Before we went there, on the Internet I read many comments from people who were there before and said it is a nice place. We both come from Europe and we know so many clubs over there. So now it was time to go clubbing in London again.
But my girlfriend and me were both were very disappointed!
Yes, the people who go to this club obviously have a lot of money, and like Rolex watches.
BUT: The guests are not better looking than in a very average club anywhere in the UK. There are lots of old guys who obviously just want to have 'some fun' with young girls. There are lots of people who are willing to pay 300 - 24,000 pounds for a bottle of shampaign; there are lots of people who pay 8.50 pounds for a Bacardi-Coke, etc. And there are very heavy girls around, too... That is not comparable to Europe.
After having paid 20 pounds entrance fee, we were also disappointed by the way the club is designed. Just have a look at the ceiling when you go downstairs! It looks horrible ... like a building that is still under construction!
Hence, unfortunately we cannot recommend visiting Movida at all. For us it was a waste of money and a waste of time. We will definitely not go there again...
Instead we would recommend going to Madrid or Berlin! The average club there is much better than Movida in London...

I also heard the report on Russell Brand's show and suggest that if true, the club should seriously consider their door policy and employees' behaviour.

Heard quite a disurbing report about the bouncer on the movida door calling the UK wheel chair bound basketball olympic star a 'f**king cripple' and wouldnt let him in, depite him being allowed in the club before. Russel Brand had the star on his radio show on sunday morning. Certainly outrageous behaviour if this is true.

Movida was hot when it first started. Yes, there were beautiful guys and girls and a great vibe. But Its got worst and worst everytime I have been over the last few months. Everybody seems to be getting in despite the door being particular about the guestlist. All one needs to do is a book a table or bribe the bouncers at the door. The place is now equivalent to any other west end club, nothing special. I have seen the hassle some go through to get in, its not worth it now. Yes, you do get some celebrities there now and then, but on those nights you are not getting in unless you are well known to the establishment and invited to the such a party i.e your a middle aged guy who loves blowing his money. Overated and overhyped. The DJ is terrible, he does not know how to mix or flow.

Heard it all before, all these people open these places with no concept or there's a concept which they can't get to life. Soundwise, usual HIP-HOP R&B crap...lots of kids and nobodies who want to be seen, and all that talk about are you on a guest-list...just to get in and be surrounded by virtually every muppet in town!

Nice set up, plenty of room to dance, good looking men and pricy drinks...lol I wasn't too impressed with the selection of house music BUT, the music changed and started picking up at about 12am, so much so, I danced until it was time to leave... I had a great time, got speaking to lots of people including Dennis Rodman, who invited myself and my friend in for a drink... And Rebecca Loos who shared a little dance... All together, A very good evening... x

Thursday night was the first and last time I ever go there. I have never been to a place where the reputation is so divorced from the reality of it. The club was totally devoid of atmosphere and character and the music was uninspiring. Pile on top of all this the insult of a 12.5% 'service charge' for paying by card (which, incidentally does not go to the staff despite the name) and you have a very unsatisfactory evening. I pitied the multitudes battling to get in as I left.
