Mamilanji
107 Kings Road, Chelsea, London, SW3 4PA

Awe-stricken fashion forward "Chelseaites" groove into the Kubrick-like futuristic Space Odyssey gem that is Mamalanji. This neon-lit zen interior immediately intoxicates bringing out voyeuristic instincts. In an age when denizens of boites are grappling with ill-décor Mamalanji`s visionaries Milan and Manji have come up trumps. The zip codes of SW3, 7 and 10 are already magnetically being pulled to this blissful dance sanctuary.

Polite staff and fun, well-mannered guests that overall leave the attitude at the door. Visited Mamilanji for the first time this Friday, and was positively surprised. Can definitely recommend the place for a fun night out, especially if you live locally and feel like skipping a 20 minutes+ cab ride.

A bloody good night out, turned up and got let straight in for free, staff were top notch, drinks were good and the crowd excellent. People who keep moaning about prices should go to Wetherspoons as they might find they fit in better.

Look guys its true, if you haven't got the money to spend then this sort of place is definetely not for you. Don't bad mouth it cos it's expensive. Do you do the same after buying a Louis Vuitton bag? You either have and spend it without regrets or take yo ass somewhere else. Anyway, the only bad thing i have to say about Mamilanjis or any of the clubs on par like Boujis, Amika, Embassy etc is that the staff can be very rude at times. For the money you are paying I think this should be improved. People are out for a good time so don't spoil it for them.

Worst club you can go to in London, period. Again, an age to wait condsidering we were only ones waiting, and on the guestlist. Obivously all a ploy, so that when they let you in you have to pay the GBP15, just to feel you want to enter. Nice enough decor, but you queue for ages to get a drink, and pay through the nose for it. Champers GBP170 a bottle. Was enjoying the night with friends, when moron, barged into me, I sad "careful", next thing he and bouncers have taken me though the air onto the street. Found out later, moron was a member. We all left, with one simple message to future guests - why ?? - take your cool selves elsewhere..

I went on friday night as when walking past at opening time my friend, who i was down visiting, managed to get the door staff to let us in for free. once inside i found the place a bit stuffy and having staff pouncing on my empty bottle whenever i'd finished my drink (in an obvious attempt to get me up to the bar again) was just a bit rubbish really. the prices are ridiculous for drinks unless you are the kind of city flyer they're targetting so you can't blame them for that. I thought the DJ was sound and played some good tunes to keep me and my mates occupied till then end of the night. but having gone in there right from the start was a m-i-s-t-a-k-e in terms of checking the bank balance in the morning. Staff were questionable, even bought one a drink to try and get a smile out of him, but got nothing. It was a decent night, but won't go again.

After reading through the reviews i decided i had to write my own, first of all the bad reviews here surley came from peope who got refused entry or they dont have 2 pennies to rub together..If your looking for a local, cool friendly club with a good crowd selection then this is the place....rather than going to the west end, standing in long queues mingling with with anyone or even getting turned away from the door.....we have always been treated nicely and have left with a smile on our face....but if you are a cheap skate with no class look elsewhere........peace

Its was well after midnight when we arrived. After the bouncers graciously allowed us to part with lots of our hard earned cash to enter the club, we found the place was filled with more security staff than clubbers. After our friend remortgaged his house to pay for a round of drinks (£5 for a lemonade btw!), we stood back and admired the empty dance floor and the many security staff protecting the sacred seated area. When people finally arrived, they were mostly the preppy sort out spending Daddy’s money. In all, we’d rate the staff as rude and arrogant, the drinks well over priced, the music dated and reparative and the decor strange. Obviously we won’t be returning!!!

one of the worst nightspots in London, we had to wait an eternity to get inside, this was the all more ridiculous as inside it was almost empty. We were 7 and paid 500GBP for a table , they let the 5 of us enter and then 2 bully-faced guys who did not have the least ounce of intelligence and commercial savvy stopped the last 2 of us asking that we pay 15 gbp per person for entrance , they were total jokes! then inside very commercial music , staff more likely to come out of a penitentiary and loitering around with their torches like if they were controlling a border and who would get "nervous" very easily , not the kind of attitudes to give rise to good vibes to this place. Brutal staff , poor music, average entourage, bad vibes, no soul : NEVER GO THERE

We have been back every Wednesday sinse and have never been disappointed. This is the first time i've felt compelled to write on a comments board, but following the behaviour of the staff i thought i should. I have never seen a more unprofessional outfit , on the door they were rude and intimidating, once through the door the service of the hostess was shocking. However we thought this would pick once inisde and in fairness it did (a bit), until a friends wife twisted her ankle, the staff thinking she was a little worse for wear, put her in a head lock and dragged her out of the club. Even if she was worse for wear, in my book that's not the way to deal with your clientele, especially a girl. In Short certainly not a place i'd ever recommend, in fear of their safety, and a club i hope i never have the unfortunate circumstance of having to visit again.

A pity if an Eton chap says it is cheap in Mamilanji. It is highly expensive. But then again, I have no problems with these prices at all! For such prices you expect a nice club. I'm willing to pay for good music, stylish visitors, beautiful atmosphere, nice interior design and good service. This certainly goes for the music and the interior design! That's simply good. Pity though that the service and some visitors don't make Mamilanji the best club of Chelsea. Because I am Dutch, I recommend The Supperclub and Jimmy Woo's in Amsterdam. Now THERE you can find good service and visitors who are not underaged. Same with some other clubs in Chelsea.

I was advised to go 2 this club for my birthday on saturday as the drinks I was informed were not to expensive and the music was a mixture. No problems getting in, however, the drinks were expensive. As for the music the singer in the bar was good very entertaining but that's about it, when you go downstairs all the dj played was dance music I asked him to mix the music up he replied by saying oh don't worry I will. half hr later same music I asked the staff 3 times why is he still playing dance music they said that the will ask him to mix it up 1hr later same music. Now I like dance music but not through the whole night its to much. we left at 1.30am on a saturday night. Only go here unless you want to say you went to a club in kings road if its to say you have been to kings road then go during the day and shop because believe me you will get more pleasure with the goodies you buy. The staff had good manners and were friendly the club is pretty inside but not as big as you're led to believe. However, for me music makes a club and the music ruined my birthday party and I will never go back again unless they change.

If you enjoy poncing around and talking about the three valleys this is the place for you. Personally I had no gripe with the staff in general, only with the suitably threatening, ear-pieced security men, who strut around manhandling people and barking orders in broken Eastern-European English. The drinks are expensive, but then I expected nothing different. The top floor bar, which on the evening I went everybody seemed to be clambering to get into, was a letdown. If you are trying to leave your school days behind you don’t go; every third face is a new friend of an old friend, or has slept with your sister. A couple of fights broke out while I was there – presumably just altercations about trust funds and hunting rights. It is essentially an elitist establishment, a preserve of the rich and their spongers. The fact that clubs like this keep cropping up is a damming indictment of the eradication of class barriers in Britain. Though one suspects it has more to do with the money of its Euro-trash clients, trying desperately to mingle with, and emulate, the British upper class, that makes this club financially viable. Avoid it like cancer.

Revolting staff (whom, having taken almost an hour to bring our [overly expensive] drinks to our table, got the order wrong & overcharged us, then flat refused to remove the "optional" service charge from our bill), dreadful inskilled DJ and prematurely middle-aged clientele, with more money than brains or personality. Having run clubs and restaurants for 10 years, my advice is: avoid this offensive shoe-box like the plague and head back to the West End!

If you don't know someone who's a member or who has a table booked don't bother going. We queued for an over an hour on the guestlist. They seem to have 3 queues one for the members and one for the non moving guest list people and one where you don't seem to join either queue but seem to get into the club. It's meant to be over 21's but they should say 18 or under as there was hardly anyone that looked over 18 going in. Can't comment on the inside as i wasted a whole Sat night just queuing to never be told we weren't going to get in!!! Pass on this and stick to the West End.............
