It was my best friend's 21st on New Years Eve and we decided to go to carbon. £500 was paid for a table to ensure she and all her friends could be together for the night. However from the minute we arrived there were problems. Our table had been give to someone else and so we were moved into the chain area, which after much arguing still only cost £500 as opposed to the £600 they were then asking for. Wristbands were given out to people without consulting the birthday girl and so people who were not meant to be on the table were allowed through, and those who were meant to be there were not. When we told the bouncers, we were answered aggressively and rudely and nothing was done. The staff were so awful my friend ended up crying on her birthday. Drinks did not arrive till 5 minutes to midnight which meant we had been waiting over an hour. DO NOT recommend anyone go there.

On Friday 20th June 2008 around 20.30hrs a group of friends and myself were on the guest list to attend a birthday party held at Carbon bar, Old Quebec street, London, W1C 1LZ. Unfortunately we got turned away because there were five guys and one girl. There was already four girls at carbon bar who arrived before us. So we suggested that they come out to bring us in, but the bouncer said that’s not possible he said to find a girl outside the club to bring us in so we waited and managed to find someone. So when we qued up with them the bouncer said `We cant let you in because I know you are not with them`. So therefore we asked him why he changed his tune and he said there are too many blacks and Asians because there was a fight the previous week involving asian community. So therefore myself and a girl managed to get in and the others had to go home in which they were upset because they made and effort to come down and also they live a distance away. I will not tolerate to racial behavior and I am sure Carbon Bar will not be happy about this as well. This all goes down to the management of the place and further action will be taken by myself and my friends.

What an Excellent night here on Saturday the staff and managers were great. Carbon has a great atmosphere with a brilliant crowd. The music was even better, I don't think there was one person sitting down. Okay the bar was heaving but everyone just chats even if you don't know the person next to you. I will definately be going again asap. I can not say one down point on this place and I have been to loads of places in London!!
