Aura
48 -49 St James Street, Mayfair, London SW1

No bar with this address could be called downmarket, and the street-level rope and bouncer at this basement locale signals its intentions early on. Its part cocktail bar, part club, part restaurant, all three merging into one at some point so you might have someone spinning around with a martini in their hand nearby you as you tuck into your exquisite prawn risotto. Music runs from RnB to ambient and the general feel is one of refined style.

Nice atmophere on a Sunday night, Ladies look pretty guys looking hot, nice atmosphere. I think it attracts a lot of rich people, most people booking tables, champagne every where. Music is great mixture of everything, but hard to get into luckly enough my cousin new the guys at the door so there was no problem.Best to get there very very early. You will love it if you love beautifull people.x

I went to Aura last week, and had a really good time there were six of us, and the ladies really made us feel welcome, although there was quite a bit of attitude from the male contingent, who clearly thought that because they thought they had more money than us, they could be rude. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the club, and enjoyed it even more when we followed one particularly rude gentleman outside, only to discover his middle of the range merc had been clamped a\nd was about to be towed.

Loved Aura - amazing! We had an awesome night there! - Definately worth booking a table although can be very expensive - over 1000! Aura is very stylish and full of good looking people - seen a lot of celebs there too having a blast! Definately go to Aura! Also go to Mo*vida (owned by the same people) for a great night out - thats what London is about!

I had a great time at Aura. Me any my friends has a table. The music was good. But the prices are VERY OVERRATED..and at the end of the day its just not worth it.

Oh dear. Eastern European bouncers in cheap suits with only a rudimentary grasp of English taking themselves very seriously. A 20GBP entrance fee. This place needs to be the business. It is not. The music has its moments, although up to you if you like a sax accompanying whatever is playing. A bit like the Tube. No, this place takes itself too seriously for what it is, but then there will always be those foreigners (and not just the friends of the bouncers) who believe that because of the location and the cost, this is as good as it gets. More fool them.

There are much better options avaliable. The place was far too stuffy, hardly enough space even though I had a table, bouncers were pricks..It was just me and 3 girls getting in as well, and they still made us wait for quite a while. Clubs such as Tramp or Movida put shame to this place, its not worth the money or the time, try it once if you want, but be prepared to be disappointed...

LOVED IT! full of beautiful people, and staff - especially barmen - were very good to us. music wud hav been perfect, had they not had that hourlong bit of techno.. no problems getting in, tho if ure not in a crowd thats going to spend a lot of money, then i gotta warn u it mite be a bit harder.. although the club is a bit overcrowded, its perfectly fine wen ure dancing on chairs! last time i went it was a girls get in for free friday. cant wait to go bak, always provides me with an amazing nite out.

I do not rate this place at all. The DJ was awful (think stopping songs every now and then so people can shout out the words cheesey wedding style). Maybe the people there have money but it does not buy you class. Nobody was rude or had attitude, however I just feel this place is extremely over rated. Me and my friends had a table (still really cramped) and the prices were SO not worth the price that this club seems to think it deserves...if this is 'exclusive' they can keep it. Better night out anywhere else in London, take your pick of other fab destinations (Funky Buddha, 10 Rooms n Sugar Reef) and stay away from Aura.

I've been going to Aura since it first opened and its fab. The guys are stunning and all the girls are beautiful too. It attracts alot of rich people so there is alot of attitude but its funny if you take it with a pinch of salt. If you want fun and youre single, Aura is definately the place to go, you can take your pick of gorgeous people. The atmosphere is brilliant, the music is great. Its is hard to get into and it does get very very busy, so if you get in, enjoy!
