Astor Bar and Grill
20 Glasshouse Street, London, W1B 5DJ

If you mourned the loss of the Atlantic Bar & Grill six months ago, you’ll be happy to hear that acclaimed restaurateur Luke Johnson has opened Astor Bar & Grill, affine dining and art expo destination, in its place. Boasting the same art deco glamour of the previous venue, Astor features a 200-cover restaurant under the helm of head chef Philip Cooper (ex-executive chef at Mirabelle), a 400-sq ft bar and art by masters including Grayson Perry, Damien Hirst, Peter Blake, Abigail Lane and Marc Quinn. A true London destination.

well, me and a group of us went to astor on new years eve wasnt impressed by having to wait in the queue for over an 1 hour and spending 12oclock countdown in the queue after paying £40pounds to get in, poor! But when we finally got inside the music wasnt bad and the drinks were resonable, might go back but not in a hurry!!!

I went last night (3/11/2006) and the atmosphere was amazing, everyone was really friendly and the DJ has to be one of the best I have herd so far, he played one wicked tune after another. The bar staff were really sweet, even when the bar was really busy they attend to you as quick as they can with a smile and funcky dance. I thought that was quite cool!!! Now you all know bouncers normally don't give a Sh!TTT, but the bouncers at Astor where BIG, SCARY, but really SWEET!!! I saw one of them help this really drunk guy out of the toliets and making sure he was o.k before he leftthe club, he even called him a Cab. NOw I really enjoyed my self and I think others should defiantly consider checking it out..... Sam x

I had a great time in the club. We didn`t have a table booked, but we find one available and the service was amazing. I`ll get back there because I really enjoy the club.
